Standardized Offers for the Construction Business -
Concept of an Online-Community Application
Achieving comparability of offers within the construction business requires that these are based on standardized services and structured identically Fast changing and newly emerging technologies are managed by interactive maintenance of these structures and standardized services. bbv has created a prototype for such a community portal. Used technologies are: JBoss, Axis, Hibernate. 
 
Management System for Contracts - Swiss Re
Global management system for dealing with all offers and contracts of a reinsurance company. Entire business processes are supported with workflows. Many existing applications have been integrated as data sources, which support bi-directional data exchange.

Technology: SAP, Tuxedo, Java/J2EE, EJB, DB2, open source components such as OJB, Log4J, Jakarta.
 
Java Reports
Realization of reports and dialogues for an existing production planning system.
 
Schindler call centre solution for tele-alarm, monitoring and CRM integration.
The solution incorporated to parts:
  1. Abstract centralized database access used by external systems and encapsulate the business logic.
  2. Deliver specific web components to integrate the CRM system (SAP)
Thanks to our competent assistance the projects goals were met and, despite the short timeframe, completed successfully. The implemented system and the technologies used act as a reference for future projects. Accordingly, Schindler Group will be rolling out this new SCC solution in the foreseeable future, worldwide.

CSS Insurance Output Archive
This application is used by over 2000 employees at CSS. The goal was to deliver a centralized, web based application to access, save and reproduce archived documents. In addition, an application that transferred printed documents into the archive was also developed. Both applications operate on very large data sets. Performance, response times and precise access mechanisms were of utmost importance. Due to high availability constraints, the web and business logic tiers were built on clustered hardware.

Technologies: GWT, J2EE (Servlets/EJB/MDB), Websphere, Hibernate/JPA, RAD/Eclipse, Ant, Oracle, XML
